We the People, care and share
Groceries costs are devastating to individuals and families. Even before the shut down, many struggled to make ends meet. True Story. An elderly lady at the checkout counter in the market was seen with several cans of dog food on the counter. A counselor, who knew her was shocked to see several cans of dog food because the lady didn't own a pet. She approached her and was told that the increase of rent and the high cost of food made her cut corners to survive. The counselor met with her a few days later and expedited applications for benefits: SNAP, Meals On Wheels and Senior Boxes. While programs were processing, a small nonprofits delivered a week's supply (3 meals/day) until the benefits started. This case is among many where individuals and families are "robbing Peter to pay Paul". This list of 138 food pantries/cupboards was compiled to help people of all ages, socioeconomic status, races, etc. keep food on the table while navigating this very disconcerting period in our country. However, just remember where there's unity there is strength and agape (God's love) never fails. Never Give Up, Never Give In, Never Give Out!!
